One cold soba and two hot specialties
Choose by the listed format and accompaniments, not a favorites ranking.
Cold soba with mustard greens and soy
Takana Soba
Choose this cold specialty when the named mustard-green and soy combination appeals to you. Compare it with Zaru’s choice of dipping sauce or the four-sauce noodle Sampler: those are different ways into the cold soba menu.

Hot soba with beef, shiitake and truffle oil
Bolognese
Choose this specialty direction for the listed beef-and-shiitake combination. It sits under hot soba specialties in the PDF, so do not assume the Italian name means the same pasta or recipe as another restaurant’s Bolognese.

Stir-fried soba with chicken and vegetables
Yaki Soba
Choose the stir-fried direction if you want the listed chicken, carrot, cabbage and shimeji combination. Compare it with Bolognese’s beef and shiitake or Carbonara’s bacon and parmesan, rather than assuming all hot specialties share one topping mix.

Choose a format before adding toppings
The noodle page separates sauce choices, soup bases and extras.
01
Pick cold dipping, hot soup or a specialty
Zaru and the noodle Sampler belong to cold dipping soba. Soy Dashi Broth and Curry Broth are hot soba soup choices. Bolognese and Carbonara are hot specialties. Choose that format first, instead of combining unrelated menu entries into one imagined dish.
02
Read which toppings belong to the base
The PDF separates cold and hot toppings. It specifically limits Crab Omelette to soy dashi broth. If that is the topping you want, check the base before choosing curry; ask about any different combination.
03
Keep udon and soba choices distinct
Zaru Udon also uses a cold dipping format, but is a different noodle entry. The restaurant says its own soba uses wheat as well as buckwheat. Read the noodle type and ask about the full preparation rather than assuming a name settles dietary requirements.
Tei-An menu questions
Is this the complete current Tei-An menu?
No. It previews the September 10, 2026 capture, reviewed September 30. The current webpage and linked PDF differ in some categories and names. Confirm today’s menu before ordering.
Does Sampler mean a tempura assortment?
Not in the cold dipping soba section: there it means the noodle option with all four dipping sauces. Tempura Sampler is listed separately.
Can Crab Omelette go with Curry Broth?
The reviewed PDF specifies Crab Omelette for soy dashi broth only. Ask the restaurant about alternatives; this guide does not promise a change.
