Xi’an Famous Foods menu: choose the format, then the filling

The same cumin-lamb direction appears in noodles, soup noodles and a flatbread burger. Menu codes help distinguish them. Start with the format you want, then compare pork, lamb and vegetable fillings rather than relying only on the English word “burger.”

Three formats to compare

These choices explain differences; they are not ranked favorites.

Lamb with hand-ripped noodles

N1 cumin lamb noodles

The saved description lists sliced lamb, cumin and chili with chewy noodles and soy-vinegar sauce. NS1 is the soup version with lamb broth; do not assume N1 and NS1 are the same presentation.

Stewed pork inside flatbread

B1 stewed pork burger

The source describes diced pork belly stewed with soy sauce and spices inside crisp house-made flatbread. This is not a ground-beef patty or a cheeseburger; B2 instead uses sliced cumin lamb.

Filled dough with sauce

F4 lamb dumplings

F4 has ground-lamb filling and spicy-sour sauces. F5 is the separately coded soup version. That choice changes the format even when both fillings are lamb.

Choose with the codes in view

A short path through several similar names.

  1. 01

    Choose chilled, wok-tossed or soup

A1 is chilled wheat liang pi; A2 uses stir-fried liang pi. N and NS distinguish noodles from their soup versions, rather than wheat versus rice noodles.

  2. 02

    Choose the filling and wrapper

Compare sliced lamb in N1 with ground lamb in F4 or stewed pork inside B1 flatbread. F6 spinach dumplings include egg as well as tofu and vegetables; the vegetable name does not mean vegan.

  3. 03

    Confirm the heat you want

The site publishes separate information for default spice versus least/not spicy. Chili oil changes the preparation; ask about the available spice options and allergy needs rather than inventing a heat rating.

Xi’an Famous Foods menu questions

Is a pork burger a beef patty?

No. B1 is stewed pork belly inside house-made flatbread, rather than a beef patty.

What changes between N1 and NS1?

NS1 adds the soup format with lamb broth; both names refer to the cumin-lamb direction.

Are spinach dumplings vegan?

The saved and official descriptions of F6 include egg. Confirm current preparation and cross-contact rather than applying a vegan guarantee.
