Bar Primi menu: compare the pasta by sauce and protein
Choose pasta by what accompanies it: basil pesto and stracciatella, lamb amatriciana and sheep’s milk cheese, or garlic and toasted crumbs. Similar Italian names can hide very different ingredients.

Three ways to narrow the pasta list
Compare named ingredients, without a best-dish ranking.
Herb-and-cheese direction or lamb sauce
Pesto fusilli versus lamb bucatini
Fusilli giganti names basil pesto and stracciatella. Bucatini names lamb amatriciana and sheep’s milk cheese. Choose whether the sauce should center herbs and creamy cheese or include lamb; neither title guarantees dietary suitability.
Garlic and crumbs, or tomato with Parmesan
Garlic linguini versus tomato spaghetti
The linguini source names garlic and toasted crumbs. Spaghetti pomodoro names Parmigiano-Reggiano beside its tomato direction. Do not add unlisted cheese to the linguini advice or assume its full recipe is dairy-free.
Legumes and greens do not remove the meat
Maccheroni with chickpeas and sausage
The source lists chickpeas, rabe and sausage together. This is useful to compare with the pesto or tomato options if you want a sausage-containing pasta; the chickpeas and greens alone do not define the whole dish.
Choose a main, then check the starter’s overlap
Keep the key protein and accompaniments visible across the order.
01
Set your pasta direction
Pick pesto/stracciatella, lamb/sheep’s cheese, garlic/crumbs, tomato/Parmigiano, or chickpea/rabe/sausage. These combinations narrow the menu more reliably than guessing from pasta shape alone.
02
Compare the seafood starter’s preparation
Octopus lists warm cannellini beans, salsa verde and chili. Calamari Verrazano is fried with hot peppers and lemon. Choose between the bean-accompanied octopus and fried squid format rather than treating both simply as seafood.
03
Read the vegetable accompaniment too
Grilled artichokes list green olive and mint pesto; Red Garden Beets list pistachio and horseradish yogurt. Brussels list pepperoni and pecorino. The vegetable name does not identify every ingredient.
Before ordering from Bar Primi’s saved menu
Does this guide recommend the Sicilian squares?
No. Saved square entries are incorrectly explained as pasta, and a gluten-free option notice became an item. Those parsing issues remain in the destination; ask staff about the actual category and options.
Which menu version does the guide use?
The saved dinner menu was captured September 10, 2026. Primary food sections were reviewed October 4, 2026. Seasonal changes are not assumed to be historical errors, and current availability should be confirmed.
