Bistro Campagne menu: read the ingredients behind the French names

A potato starter can contain fish; a salad can bring bacon; a fish main can have nuts and butter. Compare the complete combinations before choosing your bistro meal.

Three comparisons that make the names useful

Ingredient-based starting points, without tasting claims or a best-dish ranking.

Choose more than the potato

Three potato starters, three different additions

Brandade includes salt cod and egg; Pommes Pavé adds smoked trout and roe; Croquettes pairs potato with brie. If you want a potato starter, decide whether fish or cheese belongs in it. None of these names alone certifies dietary suitability.

Look past the greens

A salad is also a protein choice

Maison names Comté, Niçoise names tuna and egg, and Lyonnaise names lardons and egg. Lardons indicate pork. Compare those additions rather than assume the salads are interchangeable vegetable dishes.

The sauce changes the combination

Compare fish and sauce together

Whitefish comes with an almond butter sauce; sea bass with tomato-butter sauce. Saumon names Champagne poaching and a caviar sauce. If you prefer one fish, still check the sauce and accompaniments before choosing.

Build your order around the full combination

Use the named additions to narrow your choices.

  1. 01

    Choose the main format

Steak Frites offers steak and fries; Poulet Rôti is the chicken direction with mushrooms. Gnocchi Parisienne is a choux-dough dish with goat cheese and walnuts. It is not evidence of potato gnocchi.

  2. 02

Read the side as a full dish

Carotte includes pistachio crema; Haricot Vert names butter and cheese; Pleurotes includes egg and crème fraîche. Decide whether those additions repeat ingredients you already chose.

  3. 03

Keep raw preparations and dessert deliberate

Steak Tartare is a raw-beef choice, distinct from Steak Frites. Compare custard, chocolate cream, bread pudding and Basque cheesecake before adding another savory dish. Confirm availability and ingredient needs with staff.

Before choosing Bistro Campagne

Is Gnocchi Parisienne potato gnocchi?

This menu explicitly names choux dough. Goat cheese and walnuts are also listed; the short gnocchi name is not the complete ingredient choice.

Are the vegetable sides vegan?

The listed carrots, beans and mushrooms have additional components, including nuts, dairy or egg. Ask about complete ingredients and handling; this guide cannot certify suitability.

Is this the current full menu?
