Burma Superstar menu: soup or noodles with curry sauce?
Coconut chicken appears as soup and as a sauce for noodles. Catfish chowder takes another direction. Start with broth versus curry-coated noodles, then choose the noodle type instead of assuming these Burmese names describe the same bowl.
Selected soup and noodle guide; saved menu in English, Chinese and Spanish. Two salad descriptions omit animal ingredients; tofu Kebat skewer titles are misleading.
Three ways to choose the bowl
Compare broth, protein and noodle shape.
Coconut chicken noodle soup
Oh Noh Kauswer
The saved soup and owned sheet name chicken, coconut, onion, egg, cilantro, lemon and chili. It gives a soup direction rather than the curry-coated rice noodles of Nan Gyi Dok. Read the egg topping as part of the combination.
Catfish chowder with rice noodles
Moh Hinga
The owned sheet specifies catfish chowder, rice noodles, ground catfish and lemongrass, with onion, cilantro, lemon and chili. Choose this fish-based soup direction rather than assuming all noodle soups here contain chicken and coconut.
Rice noodles or flat flour noodles
Nan Gyi Dok or Nan Pia Dok
Both use chicken coconut curry sauce. Nan Gyi Dok names rice noodles and egg, split-yellow-bean powder, wonton chips, roasted chili and fried onions. Nan Pia Dok names flat flour noodles with string beans, cabbage, split-yellow-bean powder, roasted chili and fried onions. Compare the noodles and toppings together.
Choose the liquid and noodle arrangement
One coconut-chicken theme can appear in more than one format.
01
Soup or curry-coated noodles
If you want broth, compare Oh Noh Kauswer and Moh Hinga. For noodles with chicken coconut curry sauce, compare Nan Gyi Dok and Nan Pia Dok. Do not infer identical serving size from shared ingredients.
02
Check the full combination, not just rice noodles
Nan Gyi Dok also lists wonton chips and egg. A rice-noodle name alone does not establish a gluten-free or egg-free complete dish; confirm recipes and handling with staff.
03
Choose a side only if you want one
White / Brown Rice and Platha are separate saved side entries. Their listing does not mean they are included with a soup or noodle dish. Decide whether another starch is what you want.
Before opening the saved menu
Are the Tea Leaf and Rainbow Salad descriptions complete?
No. The owned sheet names fish sauce and dried shrimp, with vegetarian alteration indicated, but the saved descriptions omit those animal ingredients. These salads are outside this guide’s comparisons; confirm the exact preparation.
Does Tofu Vegetable Kebat mean a skewer?
The saved Chinese and Spanish titles suggest a skewer, but the description and owned sheet describe tofu cooked with vegetables, coconut milk, jalapeño and mint. This conflicting entry is excluded.
Are all samusas potato-only?
The saved menu actually has Vegetarian, Chicken and Beef choices, matching the owned sheet. Its generic potato description does not fully describe each filling; confirm your choice.
