Chef Fei menu: pepper stir-fry or taro-steamed ribs

Two pepper stir-fries can look like the same ordering idea until you check the protein and vegetables. Chef Fei’s steamed ribs add a different method and taro accompaniment.

These three meat dishes were corroborated. Other saved entries omit meat in Clay Pot Tofu and misdescribe Golden Pan-Fried Eggs; do not rely on the wider menu’s dietary labels. The saved destination offers English, Chinese and Spanish.

Beef, pepper pork and steamed ribs

Broccoli, fresh peppers and taro separate these choices.

Beef plus broccoli

Pepper beef

The saved entry and restaurant source name American Wagyu beef and organic broccoli. Choose it for that beef-and-vegetable combination; the name does not establish a fixed heat level.

Pork and fresh peppers

Pepper pork

The restaurant specifies Berkshire pork with fresh peppers. It shares the stir-fry method with the beef dish, but broccoli belongs to the beef example rather than an assumed matching pork recipe.

Steamed rather than stir-fried

Ribs with taro

Pork ribs and taro are steamed together. The restaurant also notes egg white, so a dish named only for pork and taro is not an assurance that no egg is used.

Choose protein and cooking method

Compare beef versus pork, then stir-fry versus steam.

  1. 01

    Pick the protein

Compare beef with pork first. Pepper pork and steamed ribs both use pork, but they are not the same cut or preparation.

  2. 02

    Choose wok or steam

The pepper dishes are stir-fries. The rib dish is steamed with taro, a different accompaniment from broccoli or peppers.

  3. 03

    Check ingredients beyond the title

Egg white is listed for the ribs. Confirm requirements directly, and do not rely on the wider saved menu’s dietary labels.

Before choosing

Is pepper pork the beef dish without beef?

No. The beef recipe names broccoli, while the pork recipe specifies Berkshire pork and fresh peppers. Do not assume the same vegetable combination.

Are the ribs egg-free?

The restaurant notes egg white. If that affects your order, confirm directly rather than judging from the title.
