Chengdu Taste menu: cumin, red chili or wontons?

The Chengdu Taste list gives several ways to choose by seasoning. Toothpick lamb names cumin, boneless fried chicken names red chili peppers, and wontons appear with red chili sauce, chicken broth or pepper sauce. Start with the protein or dumpling format you want, then decide which seasoning direction interests you.

Selected preparations only. Bean translations conflict, and chicken broth does not verify wonton filling. English, Chinese and Spanish menu text is available; confirm current offerings and recipes.

Three directions through the menu

These comparisons use the named preparations, without claiming an exact spice level or complete recipe.

Lamb with a cumin direction

toothpick lamb w. cumin

Both the saved name and the merchant list identify lamb with cumin on toothpicks. If cumin is the draw but you prefer beef, the separate Sauteed Beef Flake w. Cumin offers another meat choice. Neither short name establishes a full seasoning recipe or a mildness rating.

Boneless fried chicken with red chili peppers

deep fried chicken w. red chili pepper(boneless)

This name supplies three useful decisions: chicken, boneless meat and a fried preparation with red chili peppers. Choose it for that combination rather than assuming it has the same seasoning as the cumin dishes. Ask about heat and the complete seasoning before ordering.

Choose the wonton preparation before the filling

wonton w. red chili sauce / wonton w. chicken broth / wonton w. pepper sauce(numb taste)

The merchant list separates red chili sauce, chicken broth and pepper-sauce wontons. That supports a sauce-versus-broth comparison. Chicken broth describes the broth, not necessarily the filling; the saved chicken-filling description is unverified. Confirm the filling and heat of whichever version you choose.

Build variety without guessing the recipe

Once you have a main direction, compare a different format before adding more of the same seasoning.

  1. 01

    Choose the meat first

Lamb and beef both have cumin entries. Pick the meat you want rather than ordering both just because their English names look different.

  2. 02

Add a different format if useful

A wonton preparation offers a dumpling format alongside a meat dish. Decide whether you want chili sauce, broth or pepper sauce; confirm the filling separately.

  3. 03

Check the bean entry by its original name

The saved soup says lima bean in English but 蚕豆 and habas in Chinese/Spanish, which identify a different bean. Do not rely on that translation to choose a specific bean or meet a dietary need.

Questions before choosing

Does chicken-broth wonton mean chicken filling?

The merchant title establishes the broth only. The saved description claims chicken filling without enough primary evidence. Ask what is inside.

Which of these is mildest?

The short menu names do not establish a reliable heat ranking. Cumin, red chili sauce and pepper sauce describe different directions; confirm heat and possible adjustments.

Is the bean soup lima bean or fava bean?

The saved English and Chinese/Spanish names conflict: lima bean versus 蚕豆/habas. This guide excludes that soup from its recommendations and does not resolve the ingredient by guessing.
