Daikaya ramen menu: choose the broth, then check the toppings
Shio, Shoyu and miso names help you start, but they do not tell you everything in the bowl. Read the default toppings and the add-ons separately before choosing.

Compare the base and the eating format
Choose by the restaurant’s descriptions; these are not tasted favorites.
Salt-led or soy-sauce direction
Shio versus Shoyu
Compare these before moving to miso. Shoyu’s listing also includes half a nitamago egg; that changes the bowl, not just its broth name. Ask about the actual stock if animal ingredients matter to you.
Vegetable bowl with butter
Veggie
The reviewed corn-butter version lists butter, so do not read “Veggie” as a vegan promise. Consider the full bowl and any added toppings together, rather than deciding from the title alone.
Chilled noodles to dip
Tsukemen
This is the separate-noodle-and-broth direction. Choose it if dipping appeals to you more than a bowl of noodles already in soup. The short official entry does not disclose the complete stock recipe.
Three decisions before adding extras
A topping can change the ingredient profile of the bowl you just chose.
01
Read the standard bowl first
The official ramen introduction describes pork-based toppings for the standard bowls, with exceptions for Veggie and specials. Check the exact bowl instead of assuming every noodle order is vegetable-based.
02
Read an add-on beyond its main ingredient
Menma bamboo shoots and Nitamago’s egg marinade use ramen stock; the official entries mark both not vegetarian. The vegetable or egg name alone does not settle that choice.
03
Choose the spice paste deliberately
Bakudan Spice Bomb lists pork and peanuts. Veggie Spice Bomb is a different carrot/ginger/chili preparation. Ask about heat and compatibility with your bowl; do not treat the two as interchangeable.
Questions about Daikaya’s ramen menu
Can I order this ramen from the izakaya menu?
The restaurant presents ramen and izakaya as separate menus and says ramen is not offered in the izakaya. Confirm the service you are choosing; this guide previews the saved ramen menu only.
Can I substitute the ramen toppings?
The reviewed official page permits removing toppings and adding extras but says it cannot accommodate substitutions. Confirm the current arrangement with staff.
Is every vegetable-named topping vegetarian?
No. Menma is explicitly marked not vegetarian by the restaurant. Use the detailed preparation to ask questions, not a vegetable name as dietary certification.
