Kochi menu: understand the tasting sequence

Kochi’s menu presents a chef’s tasting sequence. Use the course ingredients to decide whether the format fits you, then ask about the current courses and optional supplements.

Read Kochi’s saved menu, or visit SeEat for the app download.

Three courses with distinct ingredients

These illustrate the sequence, rather than separate à-la-carte recommendations.

Macadamia and edamame

Squid

The listed squid course includes macadamia, edamame and dasima oil. Read those accompaniments too if nuts or soy change your decision.

Celtuce, curry aioli and potato

Octopus

This course pairs octopus with celtuce, curry aioli and crispy potato. It offers a different ingredient combination from the squid course; no precise heat level is given.

Ice cream with matcha cream

Black Sesame

The dessert lists black sesame ice cream, matcha cream and puffed black rice. Its sesame and dairy ingredients matter beyond the short dessert name.

Ask about the whole sequence

One course name cannot describe the ingredients throughout a tasting menu.

  1. 01

    Separate optional supplements

The official menu lists caviar with Squid, A5 Wagyu with Duck, and sea urchin or Scottish langoustine with Tuna Bibimbap as supplements. Ask what each changes rather than assuming all are included.

  2. 02

    Confirm changing accompaniments

The saved Duck description names morels, while the reviewed official version lists king oyster mushroom. Without the original source date, treat this as a version difference and confirm the current course.

  3. 03

    Discuss restrictions in advance

The source limits which diets it can accommodate and makes some changes conditional on advance notice. Ask about your whole sequence; do not assume every ingredient can be removed.

Before choosing the tasting format

Are these dishes an à-la-carte shortlist?

This guide follows the official tasting-menu format. Ask about the current sequence and available options rather than assuming independent ordering.

Can the restaurant accommodate any dietary restriction?

No blanket promise. The official page lists restrictions it cannot accommodate and conditional adjustments requiring advance notice. Confirm your specific needs.

Is the captured Duck preparation current?

Not guaranteed. The captured and reviewed versions list different mushrooms. This guide does not assert the capture is wrong or promise either version today.
