Osaka Nikkei menu: compare citrus and sushi formats
The Nikkei Bar section offers different ways into fish: scallops and white fish with citrus wasabi sauce, salmon with yuzu, cucumber and crispy quinoa, or tuna nigiri with Peruvian chili emulsion and white truffle oil. Compare these three named combinations rather than reading every sauce as interchangeable.
Three comparisons only. Wider saved menu misnames oyster Parma as ham pizza and salmon Katsu as pork cutlet in Chinese; excluded here. Other recipes and dietary labels unverified. Saved English/Chinese descriptions, no Spanish descriptions; possible English text fallback.
Choose fish, sauce and format together
Scallops and white fish with wasabi, salmon with yuzu and quinoa, or tuna with chili and truffle oil.
Scallops and white fish
Wasabi ceviche
The operator lists scallops, white fish and citrus wasabi sauce under ceviches. This name is a seafood combination, not a separate side of wasabi. It includes shellfish as well as fish.
Salmon, yuzu and crispy quinoa
Osaka ceviche
Salmon comes with yuzu sauce, cucumber and crispy quinoa. Compared with Wasabi, both the seafood and the listed sauce change; the quinoa is a named topping, not rice for nigiri.
Tuna, chili emulsion and avocado
Uchu Truffle nigiri
This belongs to the nigiri section and lists tuna, Peruvian chili emulsion, white truffle oil and avocado. Choose it when you want the nigiri format rather than a ceviche; the source names oil, not shaved truffle.
Read the section before the familiar word
Keep the original dish name beside its ingredients.
01
Choose ceviche or nigiri
Wasabi and Osaka are ceviches; Uchu Truffle is nigiri. Decide on the format before comparing citrus sauce with chili emulsion.
02
Compare the named seafood
Wasabi combines scallops and white fish, Osaka lists salmon, and Uchu Truffle lists tuna. The guide does not establish every preparation or dietary clearance.
03
Keep sampler choices separate
The operator lists a ceviche sampler as a choice of three varieties. That does not make these three examples a fixed sampler: Uchu Truffle is nigiri, not ceviche.
Before opening Nikkei Bar
Why is the saved menu titled Nikkei Bar?
That is an Osaka-owned menu section, not evidence of a separate restaurant. Distinctive ceviche, tiradito and nigiri combinations connect this saved menu to Osaka.
Do the Chinese Parma and Katsu names describe the right foods?
No. Parma’s saved Chinese name says ham pizza although its description and operator menu identify oysters; Katsu’s Chinese name says pork cutlet although both identify salmon nigiri. Those entries are excluded here.
Are all 61 entries checked recommendations?
No. Only these three combinations are compared. Other recipes, cooking details, translations and dietary labels are not certified; ask the restaurant where those affect your choice.
