Different sauce foundations

Tomato meat sauce or white ragù

The saved rigatoni describes tomato, cured pork cheek and pecorino. The tagliatelle describes meat sauce without tomato, also with pecorino. Choose by the sauce rather than assuming all meat pastas are the same.

Shellfish or mushrooms

Clam pasta or mushroom ribbons

Linguine names cockles, garlic and parsley; pappardelle names porcini, thyme brown butter and lemon. These are distinct combinations even before comparing the narrow linguine with broad pasta ribbons.

Bread with cheese or raw seafood

Bruschetta combines ricotta and fig agrodolce on toast. Crudo lists raw scallop and tuna with onion and capers. Decide whether you want this raw preparation before choosing by the seafood name alone.

Avoid repeating the same ingredients

Read sauce and accompaniment together before combining dishes.

Vegetable titles can conceal fish ingredients
The mushroom side lists colatura beurre blanc, described in the saved menu as anchovy butter sauce. Do not assume that a vegetable-led title tells you every ingredient.

Keep the pasta and side distinct
Cauliflower appears both as a roasted vegetable side with raisins and pine nuts and in spaghetti with sage brown butter. Choose whether repeating cauliflower is what you want.
