The Salty Pig menu: build a board with contrast

A board, a pasta and a pizza offer different ways to use the same cured-meat theme. Start by deciding whether you want separate components to compare or one composed dish.

Three meal formats

Useful differences, not tasted favorites.

Separate components

Build a board

Choose this format when comparing meat, cheese and condiments is part of what you want to eat. Check each entry instead of treating the whole board as one recipe.

Pasta with nduja

Conchiglie

The official pasta entry names nduja. Compare that composed pasta direction with selecting individual cured meats on a board; confirm the current accompaniments.

Mustard cream and beer caramel

The Salty Pig pizza

Those named elements distinguish the signature pizza from a simple tomato direction. Ask which pig parts are in the current preparation rather than assuming a specific meat assortment.

Plan the order across sections

The same flavor can appear on the board and the main.

  1. 01

    Choose texture on the board

Compare sliced Prosciutto di Parma with the spreadable Chicken Liver Mousse or Pork Pâté. Selecting a different form adds a practical contrast; it does not require assuming which is more popular.

  2. 02

Read the component before the category

Pork Pâté names pistachios and figs as well as pork. Rabbit Mortadella names pancetta. A meat label does not describe every ingredient in a board component.

  3. 03

    Avoid an automatic topping repeat

If you start with cured meats, decide deliberately whether to add more pork on pizza. The saved list also offers arugula and mushrooms as add-ons; ask which additions suit your chosen base.

Questions about The Salty Pig

Are pizza add-ons separate dishes?

The saved list places egg, arugula and other additions under Pizza Add Ons. Interpret them with the chosen pizza, not as extra standalone main dishes.
