Photograph the Italian menu with its headings intact, then use SeEat to compare the dishes rather than translate isolated words. Keep the original names for ordering and check whether a side dish or sauce is part of your choice.

Keep the course label with the dish
Italian learning material distinguishes antipasti, primi, secondi, contorni and dolci as course labels. Read a translated item in that context instead of assuming every line is a complete main meal.[1]
If you want pasta, start with the pasta options and check the sauce. If you choose a meat or fish dish, ask what accompanies it before adding another plate.
Read the words after the familiar name
Examples for practice: “al forno” means oven-baked, “alla griglia” means grilled, “con funghi” means with mushrooms, and “ripieno” means stuffed. An unfamiliar filling or sauce is a reason to open the dish explanation and ask, not to guess.
Compare two versions of the same ingredient by cooking method, then check the printed menu for supplements or choices. SeEat’s reference image is a visual clue, not evidence of this restaurant’s plating.
Make the last check in Italian
“Che cosa c’è in questo piatto?” asks what is in the dish. “Il contorno è incluso?” asks if the side is included. Keep the original dish name visible when asking either question.
Before you order
Can I get Italian-language results?
These pages explain Italian menu input. SeEat’s current diner interface and localized results are English, Chinese and Spanish. Keep the original Italian name for pointing out your order.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
The web app checks available menu credits before creating a menu. When credits are exhausted, it can ask you to sign in or show subscription options. Check the app for your current allowance and plan; unlimited free use is not promised.
Are images and dietary labels verified by the restaurant?
No. Images are AI-generated references, not photographs of the restaurant’s dishes. Explanations and dietary or allergen labels can be inaccurate. Confirm any important ingredient or preparation detail with staff before ordering.
